Contact Lens Cases |
|
OK, not a huge thing, but I thought was useful. I had some contact lens cases that I either got from eye doctor or with solution I wasn't using. Cleaned really well and now use for meds or vitamins or anything small I want to seal when I take short car trips. Better than most pill boxes I've seen that can spring open. Figured it beat just throwing cases in recycle bin.

That's a pretty good idea. I use those little travel sized tylenol or advil pill cases. I can put various prescription or over the counter pills in there and carry it with me easily enough. Just slightly larger than a tube of chapstick. Right now it has some immodium, advil, and one of my prescriptions in it.

I've traveled with those little bottles before (usually because I picked up last minute before a trip). I just found the contact lens caps easier to open and I like they lie flat. But aside from how well they work, it was more just finding another use for something I didn't want to just toss out. I'm still never sure how much stuff really gets recycled in bins. A guy who was an exec with one of the recycling companies years ago, told me that a lot of the stuff got dumped with other garbage, so unless I FOLLOW one of their trucks..... I've just tried to be creative about re-using items for things we normally wouldn't use them for.

Cases are must-haves if you own contact lenses. This is especially important if you are on the road every now and then. You do not want to damage our contacts and you would certainly not want to hurt your eyes because of the dirt and other harmful elements that may get into your contacts.
