Acid Reflux The Good vs. The Bad Foods |
|
Anybody out there have supplements, herbs, vitamins or foods that work for them re acid reflux? I've been researching because I have an elderly relative and am trying to help their diet anyway I can, so they no longer have to take pres meds which seem to be having some side effects. I've researched online and for every site that said a food helped, I found another that had that food in the "bad" column. Any advice would be appreciated, as I don't know what will happen if they stop his meds and his diet hasn't improved. I can pretty much control diet and supplements, as I can be the only one taking food over, so if there's something that helps, I'm anxious to give him. Thanks.

When I just have a little indigestion, I take a tsp of honey with a little cinnamon. I was wondering if anyone else does this? Would this help my relative if his problems are more about GERD and less about simple indigestion?

You also want to be careful if acid reflux happens repeatedly over an extended period of time as it might be indicative of a worse condition.
